What’s So Special About Pownce?
Written on 23 January 2008 by HarmonyJeremy was kind enough to invite his readers to try out a new social network Pownce. It’s a great name for a Soc 2.0 website. But, what does it really offer or have the potential to offer it’s users? If you are going to ask your friends from your many other networks to join, what can you say that is different about it? I just delete most Soc 2.0 invitations I receive. I can imagine most of the invites I send, have the same destiny.
So, far, as I can see, Pownce offers the ability to send files to the friends within your network. You can post links and comments to your profile. You can events which I assume show up in your network’s feed in the sidebar. You can get a pro account where you can send files up to 100mb. The free account you can send up to a 10mb file. You can also choose from a variety of stylish templates for your profile. But, how does that compete with Facebook? Now, I understand they are new, but… They are going to do something really spectacular to really draw the crowds.
Have you been using Pownce? What do you think of it?
Have You Checked Out Network Solutions, Yet?
Written on 19 January 2008 by HarmonyNetwork Solutions has been a backbone in the domain business since the beginning of the internet. In fact, that is where I bought my first domain, harmonymarkets.com, which will always hold a special place in my heart(you can check out archive.org for my early creation). Although it is appraised at reg fee, now, I had big plans, you know, for an online herb and coffee shop. I was very naive then. Much more web savvy now.
Since then Network Solutions has drastically broadened their list of services. From domain names to web webdesign, e-mail encryption to ssl certificates, hosting to ecommerce solutions, they offer a product you can trust.
There are a few Network Solutions coupon codes available that will allow you to save some bucks. Don’t worry, no strings, just codes.
The coupon codes for Network Solutions are, also, very easy to use, just copy and paste in the form where asked when signing up for the first time.
If you are a coupon code junkie like me, and I always hunt them down before purchasing anything, you can find other great codes at CouponHeaven.com . Don’t miss out, it’s sooo simple.
An Innovative ID Protection Plan
Written on 11 January 2008 by HarmonyHave you ever heard of identity theft? Well, it’s a real life problem that many many people have had to deal with. And the problem is growing. So instead of spending months if not years of your life recovering from such an invasion or theft of your identity, credit, and money, why not try an ID protection plan?
What the heck is that you may ask? Well, Lifelock has set up a service that automatically notifies you of any unauthorized activity that involves your identity. Included in that, they also have your name and details removed from credit card company lists who would otherwise mail you their offerings. Which is how many identity thieves take advantage of their victims.
What is unique about Lifelock.com’s services is that they also back up their services with a monetary guarantee. If your identity gets stolen during their service contract with you, they will pay to clean the mess up. How great is that?
And the best part is the service is very affordable at $10 a month. That is pocket change! You can go to lifelock promotion codes to get an extra discount on the service.
If you would like to have peace of mind in that area, I suggest signing up today! It’s a small price to pay to have one less risk to worry about.
How to tell if a blog does follow comment links- Simple Trick
Written on 1 January 2008 by HarmonyIt’s very simple to verify if a blog uses a ‘do follow’ plugin or has ‘no follow’ tags removed in the user comments section. In the Firefox browser, right click on a link in the comments section of a post. Then click on ‘properties’. A little box will pop up and under ‘relation’ it will say ‘external’ for ‘do follow’ and ‘external nofollow’ for ‘no follow’ links. This is the only sure way to verify since backlinks don’t always show up in Google’s index right away or ever at all.
Good Luck!
(p.s. This is a ‘do follow’ blog. However, I do moderate comments.)
Feel free to list your ‘do follow’ blog(s) in the comments.
In marketing, everything depends on the presence of dedicated servers. Only domain names do not decide the fate of a business. Strategies like email marketing and ppc are used later as well.
