Now it’s RegFly.com?
Written on 4 November 2008 by HarmonyI just received an e-mail today from RegFly.com asking me to update my account information. My first thought was it was a phishing e-mail and the sender acquired RegisterFly’s user database somehow. So, I checked and RegisterFly.com forwards to RegFly.com. The site still has the same look and feel as it did when it went under. I just think it strange that the authorities were not able to put RegisterFly to rest for good.
Have you received one of thier e-mails? You didn’t update your info with them did you? 
2 .INFO Domains Up For Grabs

Top Real Estate Keyword Phrases

I was recently reading a real estate blog and was thinking about which keyword phrases were the most searched on. As I suspected ‘homes for sale in’ came in at 4,054 searches/day. So, if you were to target the phrase ‘homes for sale in Ohio‘, it’d be a pretty safe bet to-be Ohioans would be using this search term during their home search. And for buyers who are out of state, another popular search phrase, in at 602 searches/day, is ‘relocating to’. So, ‘relocating to Cleveland, Ohio‘, would be a good example of usage for that phrase. Additional phrases would be ‘real estate in’, in at 3,771 searches/day, and ‘… relocation’ in at 3,087. I suspect, however, that more natural phrases, like the ones I linked above, convert better.
So, what has been your experience with targeting real estate search phrases? And are you a real estate agent or webmaster?

Free Product Datafeed Importer Plugin for Wordpress

What’s really useful about the plugin, is that is imports from a csv file and includes the importation of custom_feilds. For those of you who have been searching for a program to import your affliliate product fields into your Wordpress installation, and a price you can afford, free!, then this is it. His latest update is here.
Some things to understand about using this program for importing product datafeeds. You are going to have to edit the titles of your columns and add a date column, as well. You must make sure to follow the format he has given. It should be pretty obvious for experienced Wordpress techies. But, if you have questions about it, please feel free to comment. Update: I spent the whole other day trying to get the plugin to work for me. I think mostly my problem was in the preparation of the product feed for import. I am still working on it and will let you guys know how it turns out.
Build-A-Long Amazon Store Series: Intro

I really think out of the 3, the Amazon Shops offer a better user experience, because, with the right software, the user/shopper can load Amazon Products into their shopping cart right on your site. So, I’ve decided to do a series of posts about my experience with my very own Amazon Shop from start to cash-flow.

One, if you are planning to use your website address for the mailings, make sure it’s hosted on it’s own server. Why is this important? Because, with shared hosting you run the risk of someone else on the server getting your ip blacklisted from major e-mail services for spamming. That means that your e-mails will automatically end up in the bulk/spam folders, reducing deliverability. Wasting your efforts in collecting and utilizing your hard earned e-mail list.
Two, you should consider tracking the results of your e-mail marketing campaigns. When you are small time and starting out, any action/sale from the campaign is probably good enough for you. But, when you really get into it, e-mailing on a regular basis, you will be only guessing at which e-mails worked and which ones didn’t. This is where tracking comes into play. If you are using your e-mail list to make a living and not for part-time peanuts, it’s a must. Your stats will help you refine and learn from your e-mail marketing efforts.
What if you aren’t on a dedicated server? Or what if you can’t find a decent e-mail tracking script or program? There is a service named iContact.
